This is Part 3 of the contactless payment series… In this episode I have a good friend, Tom Holmes who is the CEO and founder of DinerIQ and PayMyTab.

Tom Holmes is CEO and Founder of DinerIQ and its award winning platform, PayMyTab., The leader in secure payments and guest engagement for thehospitality industry, PayMyTab has revolutionized how guests order and pay, howteam members engage, and build loyalty with their guests. Annualized, DinerIQ processes almost $1Billion in payments and is scaling to thousands of locations throughout the United States, Europe and Canada.

Formerly, Holmes was EVP and Chief Innovation Officer at 3Cinteractive, a leaderin enterprise mobility. At 3C, he imagined and implemented MuSIC™, a cutting-edge mobility platform, which was featured in Forbes Magazine while naming 3C “America’s Most Promising Company’.

Prior to 3C, Holmes was recruited by the private equity firm, Accretive LLC, to transform the technology and operations of Arise Virtual Solutions, a gig-economy on-demand virtual contact center solution. As SVP and CTO, Holmes transformed traditional call center technology into a Contact Center as a Service (CaaS) platform. That transformation helped Arise grow revenue by over 500% ($30m to $192m) and propel Arise from EBITDA negative to double digits. Holmes oversaw the launch of two international locations, scaled the operations and developed new technology to support the 10X growth of Arise’s home agents to over 25,000.

Holmes’ large corporate experience results from over ten years at IBM and JM Family Enterprises. At JM, as VP of Technology Strategy, JM Family’s revenue accelerated from $6.5B to over $11B. He architected and implemented JM’s e-commerce strategy & solutions. That initiative increased online transaction processing from less than 5% of sales to over 90% resulting in tens of millions of annual savings. This solution became the foundation for a case study that Holmes taught at MIT Sloan School of Management.

Holmes is past vice chairman for the Enterprise Development Corporation, an organization that facilitates the creation of growth of science and technology companies. Holmes has consulted for numerous private equity firms and VC-backed corporations with an emphasis on operational and technical due diligence, strategic transformation, and product innovation.

Holmes is a Stanford University Graduate School of Business (GSB) alumnus.
